(she/her)
Loves cats, reading, sewing, knitting, dungarees, any and all arts n crafts activities, crossfit, yoga, scuba diving and baked goods. Surprisingly good at keeping her house plants alive.
Originally from the UK, I qualified from Bournemouth University in 2016 with a First Class Degree in Bsc (Hons) Midwifery and was awarded the Health and Social Sciences Midwifery Award. This is awarded to one student in their final year of qualification for recognition of outstanding commitment and ability to provide family centred care that is underpinned with a reflective knowledge base and a high quality of professional practice.
I moved to New Zealand in January 2019 and was working full time as core member of staff on the Labour and Birthing Suite until May 2021. I have now transitioned into Lead Maternity Care (LMC) self-employed midwifery practice specialising and dedicating my time to the rainbow community. I pride myself on providing high quality care that is individualised to each whānau.
After many years of wanting to complete my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training course, but life always seeming to get in the way, Covid-19, uncharacteristically enabled me to not only have the time, but also the money to commit to finally pursuing this dream. I completed my 200hr training with Contemporary Yoga in September 2020. I completed my Mental Health Aware Yoga and Bliss Baby Yoga Teacher Training in 2021.
