Regardless of how you birthed your baby - a vaginal birth, an instrumental birth or a caesarean; your body needs some time to recover and heal from this huge task of birthing a newborn baby. Be gentle to it. It will be at least another year before your body adapts to it's new normal of being a parent. You will that your body returns to its pre-pregnant state after 6 weeks, but we know that this just is not true. So please, just enjoy your baby, take care of yourself and do not fall victim to the intense social pressures of "bouncing back". This is so unrealistic and it just doesn't happen. Be kind to yourself. You're doing amazingly!
